We now have an opportunity for someone with proven experience in delivering high profile, frontline services to take on a leadership role within the team.It’s a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied management role. You will lead the teams that manage trees and woodland and lead on Dacorum’s parks and open spaces development. You will play a pivotal part in the delivery and development of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) sites within the borough. Other key priorities include leading the implementation of the Council’s new Parking Solutions Policy, capital programme and stepping up to be the Council lead and champion for biodiversity and Nature Recovery. You will also have the opportunity to take the lead on our Future Neighbourhoods initiative, an engagement project for communities that was initiated to improve the environment for residents living and businesses operating in our neighbourhoods.We are prepared to do things differently in Dacorum and you will work with colleagues across the service and the wider organisation to bring about service improvements, harnessing the potential of efficiencies, new models of delivery and implementing solutions to improve the customer experience.ResponsibilitiesLead the teams that manage trees and woodland.Lead on Dacorum’s parks and open spaces development.Deliver and develop Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) sites within the borough.Lead the implementation of the Council’s Parking Solutions Policy and capital programme.Champion biodiversity and Nature Recovery.Lead the Future Neighbourhoods engagement project to improve environments for residents and businesses.Collaborate across services and with partners to drive service improvements and better customer experience.Qualifications and requirementsPeople and team leadership skills with experience working across different services.Experience of site management and working with internal and external stakeholders.Project and programme management skills.Experience of working with different delivery models to improve services.Driving licence valid in the UK.Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken.We are an equal opportunities employer.
