This will includethe daily management and booking of women requiring induction of labour andoversight of elective caesarean section bookings as well as women accessingthe maternity services through the acute pathway. They will work with theclinical teams to facilitate appropriate timely admission, transfer anddischarge of across the maternity pathways.Thepost holder will need to have demonstrable knowledge skills and experience inmaternity services to facilitate and prioritise patient flow across theinpatient services. The post holder needs to work well in high pressuredsituations and be confident to communicate and collaborate with all levels ofthe multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe quality care.Thepost holder will communicate the capacity and flow position to the seniorteams and escalate any issues that cannot be mitigated and need further inputto resolve.Pleasesee attached document for full job description and personal specification.Person SpecificationQualificationsRegistered MidwifeDegree in MidwiferyMasters Degree or Working towards Masters level qualification.Skills & behavioursEvidence of continuing professional education and development.Excellent communication skills and ability to be responsive to emotive conversations.Act as a role model demonstrating exemplary skills in maternity care.Flexible, highly motivated and supportive of others.Ability to develop excellent working relationships with all staff within the Trust and external partners.Strong organisational and planning skillsWilling to develop new skills including completing appropriate training as required.Additional RequirementsAbility to adapt written and verbal communication skills to the audience.Ability to undertake a wide range of work procedures without direct supervisionAbility to analyse data and produce required reports and information.Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post (with reasonable adjustments if necessary), including clearance on blood borne viruses in compliance with Trust PolicyExperienceExperience in all aspects of maternity care.Demonstrable experience in developing self and others and changing practice.Recent demonstrable experience of supporting women and familiesKnowledge and experience of national patient safety agenda and NHS England and CQC priorities.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
