We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen in our Leeds clinic, for a full or part time Private Patient Co-Ordinator to join the team and help us continue to deliver outstanding clinical care for our patients.

We are looking for someone who will thrive on working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinic Assistants, Ophthalmic Assistants, Patient Administrators, Nurses, ODPs, Ophthalmic Technicians, Optometrists, and Consultant Ophthalmologists. What are we offering?

A salary range of £21,162.75 - £22,514.69, dependent on experience

A company bonus of up to 12%, based on company performance and personal objectives

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

24 - 40 hours per week, worked over 3-5 days, Tuesdays as a set day, and with some weekend work expected.

What will the role involve?

Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, our Private Patient Co-Ordinator would be a vital member of the admin team, as well as being responsible for ensuring that the private patient pathway is followed accurately. Our Private Patient Co-Ordinator will have a professional and caring manner, and be able to deliver effective administrative service to both our patients and the team. They will be able to work within small teams to maintain and enhance processes to maximise quality and efficiency.

The Private Patient Co-Ordinator will have the ability to prioritise our private patients experience and be commercially astute whilst being a valued member of the general NHS admin team. This is a new role within Leeds Newmedica, and the post-holder will be an integral element for growing and developing the Private Patient Pathway.

Key Responsibilities
- To act as the first point of contact for all private patient telephone enquiries, ensuring that calls are answered promptly and politely.
- To book private patient appointments.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all private patient reminder calls are conducted efficiently.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all clinical correspondence is actioned and completed in a timely manner
- To ensure that all private patients have all of their follow up appointments booked at the time of booking theatre slots
- To ensure that all payments have been taken and accurately recorded
- To ensure that Private Medical Insurance (PMI) processes are followed and completed correctly
- To create spreadsheets to track and monitor the private finance stream
- To maintain accurate private patient records both paper-based and electronically
- To be responsible for the procurement of all premium lenses and ensuring their availability for the booked theatre slots
- To maintain a positive relationship at every interaction with internal or external staff.
- To promptly escalate any unresolved or complex patient or client related issues in a timely manner to the Patient Services Manager
- To deliver a bespoke and exceptional level of service to all private patients, offering end-to-end support during the patient’s journey
- General administrative duties as required
- Have the ability to concentrate on various tasks and prioritise whilst work
