Please select Yes to confirm youare an employee as stated and to proceed with an application The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is looking for a Medical Device Administrator to support the Occupational Safety Manager in managing the trust Medical Device Assets. Main duties of the job The post holder will manage medical device servicing and repair register. Work closely with the Occupational Safety manager and the trust 3rd party service provider to ensure all legal statutory servicing and repairs are carried out for all Medical Devices. Ensure legal statutory safety compliance is achieved and maintained including LOLER, PUWER and Medical Device Regulation 2002 Be the first point of contact for any queries or requests from trust staff and medical devices 3rd party service provider. Regular access to the trust financial system to raise purchase orders and receipt work when completed. Preparation and population of pre-set reports with updated servicing records and financial budgetary information Visually inspect medical devices for damage and non-operational function of devices. Be the primary contact for visiting medical device service engineer and support in locating and retrieving devices for inspection, servicing , calibration and repair of medical devices. Person Specification Qualifications Educated to degree level or equivalent vocational qualification or equivalent experience Qualification in medical devices management Electrical or electronic engineering experience or experience of working with medical devices Substantive Employment Current employee of a LAASP organisation Knowledge Understanding of the statutory and regulatory requirements relating to medical equipment Understanding of risk management processes Understanding of the current NHS standards & definitions Awareness of NHS and Medical devices requirements Understanding of the full range of professional skills required to deliver quality relating to medical devices Knowledge of the process of procurement, calibration and maintenance of medical equipment and devices for the use in patient care Technical knowledge of maintenance and servicing of medical devices Experience Experience of managing databases and systems Experience of undertaking and reporting audits Experience of health care procurement and maintenance systems Experience and knowledge of working with specialist clinical equipment Experienced working with staff at all levels of the organisation, with demonstrable ability to work in partnership with external agencies Experience of working with health professionals as a member of a team Experience of using information / reports to assure quality Experience in developing and delivering training Experience of working within the NHS Business planning Demonstrable previous experience of working with medical devices in a management capacity Experience of working in a clinical environment Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
