Estates Director (Contract) Location: Birmingham City CentreRate: 450– 480 per day (Inside IR35)Duration: Initial contract until February with potential to extendWorking Pattern: Full–time, on–site Why this could be for you An opportunity for an experienced Estates Director to take the lead at a major mixed–use destination in central Birmingham. You'll provide immediate impact – overseeing day–to–day operations, leading the on–site team, and maintaining high standards across a complex commercial environment. This role suits someone confident operating autonomously, able to manage stakeholders effectively, and comfortable stepping into an established, high–profile estate to keep performance and relationships strong. What you'll be doing Lead and coordinate all estate management activity across office, retail, leisure, and residential spaces. Maintain operational continuity and ensure compliance across health, safety, and sustainability. Build and sustain strong relationships with occupiers and contractors. Oversee budgets, service charge, and cost control. Manage suppliers and ensure delivery against agreed standards. Report regularly on performance, risks, and key operational metrics. What you'll bring Proven track record managing large mixed–use or commercial estates. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. 5–10 years’ experience in estates, facilities, or property operations leadership. Solid financial and service charge management experience.Practical, solutions–focused approach with the ability to hit the ground running. Excellent organisational skills and calm under pressure.
