The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College seeks a dynamic lecturer to teach a variety of courses across the curriculum area, including BTEC, NCFE, Levels 1, 2, 3. Courses may include Travel & Tourism, hospitality, aviation/cabin crew units. Responsibilities: take group tutorship of one or more courses within the Travel, Aviation, Directed Pathways or Esports curriculum; contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvements; design engaging coursework assignments; administer assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures; participate in internal verification activities and organise external verification. Qualifications: hold a degree or relevant professional qualification; hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one; have participated in recent and relevant continuous professional development; possess excellent teaching skills and substantial relevant teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes; be aware of academic quality standards and maintain links with industry, external agencies and validating bodies. Additional requirements: support, motivate and empathise with learners; monitor their progress; be receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem‑solving; use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning; uphold high personal standards and expectations with good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, and an eye for detail.
