Overview Chess Engineering is looking for a skilled Workshop Supervisor to take charge of our production team, ensuring precision, efficiency, and excellence in every project. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate production staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Conduct dimensional checking and verification duties to uphold quality control measures. Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. Work closely with engineers, production planners, and quality assurance teams to streamline manufacturing processes. Mentor and develop team members, providing technical guidance and leadership. Identify process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency. Maintain accurate production records and ensure reporting aligns with company requirements. Requirements Extensive experience in OEM fabrication, with a deep understanding of manufacturing and welding processes. Strong background in dimensional checking and verification techniques. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a production team. Understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations in a fabrication environment. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
