Person Specification Knowledge Sound Clinical knowledge of core conditions and applied therapy techniques Ability to prioritise & work under pressure As an autonomous practitioner, is able to work as a team member as well as alone but with access to more senior colleague Knowledge of NHS procedures, policies and guidelines Ability to formulate and develop specialised individual treatment programmes and ability in using clinical reasoning skills based on current best practice. Qualifications BSc (Hons) or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy or equivalent Registration with HPC Membership of relevant Professional Body Evidence of experience in the form of an up to date professional development portfolio Further Training Attendance at relevant clinical post graduate courses taught often at modular Masters level and relevant to all core specialities Practice Placement Educators training / clinical supervisors training Leadership Training Experience NHS experience Completion of junior and senior Rotational Programmes (minimum of 18 months in each), or equivalent, working in a wide variety of acute and chronic physical settings Experience of working with a variety of therapeutic approaches Experience of audit and service review Experience of supervising other staff and students Evidence of contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff, assistants and students Contractual Requirements Ability to travel between Kings Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital Ability to drive own car Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
