OverviewJoin the paw-some team at Rudie's Kitchen, part of Butternut Box, in Blyth, Doncaster. This is a full-time permanent contract with a rolling average of 41 hours per week, on a shift rotation with a mix of days and nights and some weekend work. Day shifts are 7am to 7pm and night shifts are 7pm to 7am. Some schedules include 4 on, 4 off or 5 on, 5 off patterns as part of the ongoing shift rotation.Role aliases you may see include Machine Operator, Machine Technician, or Manufacturing Technician, but in Butternut we refer to this as a Skilled Operator.ResponsibilitiesWork in a safe way following all appropriate safety procedures and wear protective equipment correctly at all timesDrive line performance and diagnose operational issues on the production linesConduct quality checks to ensure products meet specificationsPerform machine/equipment hygiene and changeoversPrepare ingredients for production and mix recipesOperate production line equipment to the agreed operational settingsSupport general tasks such as waste processing and order packingWork to relevant standards and Key Performance IndicatorsAttend daily reviews and participate in online performance reviewsMaintain general facility hygiene including floors, walls, conveyors, and keep the workspace clean as you goEngage in a safe working environment and raise any concerns promptlyQualificationsPrevious machine operative experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirableStrong knowledge of heavy-duty and high-speed machineryExcellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulationsWorking level of English (spoken and reading)Numerate and able to understand and work with numbersComfortable working in a chilled environmentComfortable working with raw proteins (lamb, pork, turkey, chicken)Committed to food quality and being a supportive team memberAbility to be part of an energetic and high-performing teamBenefits and PerksHoliday entitlement: 257.5 hours per year, plus 8 hours per year of service (up to 40 hours)39 hours of pre-booked paws days to support wellbeingAnnual £500 personal learning and development budgetPrivate medical insurance and dental cover (discounted)Discounted gym membershipDiscount on Butternut Box products for employeesButternut branded uniform, pension scheme, and sick payEnhanced parental leave, private showers, changing facilities, and dedicated locker spaceOpportunity to grow, develop and learn with internal training programmesRefer a friend bonus up to £500Free parking and electric car chargingWe look forward to receiving your application #J-18808-Ljbffr
