An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, dynamic, and experienced nurse to join our specialist respiratory team as a Lung Clinical Nurse Specialist, Band 7 at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The NNUH lung cancer service is led by Dr Russell Phillips, a Nurse Consultant, and a team of experienced clinical nurse specialists. This role plays a pivotal role in delivering expert nursing care to patients with lung cancer, and requires advanced clinical knowledge, leadership, and coordination skills. We are seeking an experienced, initiative-taking, registered nurse who is passionate about respiratory nursing, to join our lung cancer team, providing support to patients and their families with lung cancer, pleural disease, and mesothelioma. To participate in the co-ordination of patient care to ensure continuity throughout the patients care pathway. To be pivotal in review and development of the service, and to reflect the needs of the patient group. To liaise closely with the health care teams of in-patient wards, outpatient department and primary care, including consultant physicians and GPs. To demonstrate wide and in-depth experience of all aspects of lung cancer and mesothelioma, exercising clinical leadership and effective education within their sphere of practice. Person Specification Qualifications Registered Nurse on appropriate part of the NMC register Relevant post graduate qualification e.g respiratory, thoracic, oncology or palliative care.
