Lead Nurse Assessor- Lung Cancer Screening Programme

Job Summary We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse to join our Lung Screening Programme as the Lead Nurse Assessor. This is a pivotal leadership position supporting the delivery and development of the regional lung screening service at NNUH, part of the East of England Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) network. Key Responsibilities Play a key role in improving early detection of lung cancer and other respiratory conditions, reducing health inequalities and supporting patients through screening, assessment and follow‑up. Provide leadership and management of the day‑to‑day running of the service, working collaboratively with radiology, respiratory medicine, primary care, community teams and regional screening partners. Liaise directly with Acute colleagues and coordinate MDT meetings required to keep the flow of patient care effective between all providers. Coordinate the service delivered across multiple locations in line with local CT scanning capacity and patient choice, lead staff duties, ordering, lead for health and safety, day‑to‑day link with GP colleagues and community teams, business intelligence and operational lead. Represent the service at appropriate meetings within the Trust and promote the service to the wider health community.
