The Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, opened in 2004, offers fantastic facilities for children and young people in a purpose-built setting, including A&E, Pediatric assessment unit, HDU, Day case unit, Theatres, Surgical ward, Medical ward, Outpatient Department and Therapies Suite. Individual specialties are supported locally by dedicated specialist nurses. Responsibilities Work within the inpatient and community setting delivering diabetes care and structured patient education in line with national and best practice guidance. Develop diabetes skills & knowledge, teaching skills, and contribute to service projects as well as quality audits. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve the lives of those living with diabetes. Qualifications Registered Nurse with an interest in Diabetes. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Motivated and enthusiastic individual dedicated to delivering high quality standards of care.
