SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role

This position is ideal for individuals experienced in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and managing challenging behaviour. The school is flexible regarding year group placement, instead prioritising candidates whose skillset, experience, and personality will best support their pupils’ diverse needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs and behavioural challenges

• Assist in creating a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment

• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and the new SLT to implement effective strategies

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them engage and progress

• Support classroom learning, small-group interventions, and individualised plans

• Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
