Job Title: HGV Driver Location: Carmarthen Contract: Permanent Hours: Full‑time Reporting to: Transport Manager Purpose of the Job LGV Driving – All legal requirements must be met fully. Consideration for other road users and members of the public. Clear, accurate completion of tachograph records, manual entries and defect reports. Vehicles to be operated within relevant speed and weight limits at all times. Nights out will be involved. Feed Delivery – Accurate, safe working on customers’ farms. Care to be taken at all times to achieve correct bins for feed and UFAS compliance. Safety of farm employees, children and stock is paramount. Damage to buildings or other property must be avoided. Paperwork – All delivery records, cleaning records, defect reports, etc., must be completed accurately, in full and on time. Health & Safety – Comply fully with company and customer health and safety policies. Environment – Fully adhere to rules set out in the site IPPC, comply with company environmental policy and assist the transport manager to improve the site EMS. Skills Required Class 1 licence essential and ownership of a digital Tachograph Card. Regular experience of driving LGV’s preferred but not essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse fluently in English with colleagues and customers. Ability to comply with legislation, work on own initiative and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism. Driver certificate of Professional Competency essential.
