Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hiab Lorry Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various locations. This role requires proficiency in flatbed driving and a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations. As a Lorry Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
  • Proficiency in flatbed driving techniques and safety protocols.
  • Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate records and ensuring load security.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
