Will have an in-depth understanding of the business strategy and company vision. The primary purpose is to support the Estimating Manager in achieving its short, medium and longer‑term commercial goals and objectives, through the delivery of best‑in‑class estimating policies and practices, whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and environmental impact that adhere to the Company's Values. The Senior Estimator is responsible for supporting the appropriate KPI’s relevant to the estimating team’s work and for ensuring day‑to‑day estimating processes run smoothly.ResponsibilitiesResponsible to the Estimating ManagerAssisting the Estimating Manager in managing workloadAssist in managing / developing other Estimators, Assistants and TraineesAttend project start‑up meetings and site visitsProduce detailed tenders and maintain up‑to‑date pricing referencesManage the Trainee Estimator and Assistant Estimator to carry these out effectivelyAble to perform to agreed KPIsEvaluate returned quotations from suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare subcontract packagesExcellent opportunity with a highly respected contractor in Glasgow, so if interested in hearing more, please contact me on the details below if you want to hear more information on the position.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
