As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading the kitchen team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and service.Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration.Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas to enhance the dining experience.Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.Address any issues that arise during service promptly and effectively.The Pelican in Chew Magna is looking to employ a full-time Sous Chef for the launch of our new breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. We will not be running a dinner service so this is a great opportunity to keep your evenings free.About us:The Peli is at the centre of the beautiful village of Chew Magna.
