Job Overview Children’s Outpatient’s Department is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small friendly team. Person specification Qualifications And/or Knowledge NVQ 3 or equivalent or be working towards level 3 to be achieved within 18 months of appointment with relevant experience in providing care Experience Experience required to fulfil the post; previous experience within the outpatients or ward setting with a paediatric background Aptitude And Abilities Ability to work under supervision Ability to communicate and receive information; ability to listen and communicate effectively Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Basic literacy and numeracy skills to enable completion of records Ability to maintain records Ability to build up therapeutic relationships with this service user group Ability to successfully carry out wound management, baseline observation and growth measurements Participate in clinical supervision Ability and fitness to undertake physical intervention training Values Evidence of effective team working; ability to work positively as part of a team Display flexibility to adapt to organisational changes as well as changes within the unit Committed to continuous development Other Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection Understanding of risk management and health and safety issues Understanding of patient care Understanding of clinic procedures Flexible hours/days/weekends Desirable criteria NVQ 3 or 4 Basic food and hygiene certificate Health or social care courses Previous study in relation to children Experience required to fulfil the post; previous experience within the outpatients or ward setting with a paediatric background IT skills Wound management Gained or working towards NVQ level 4 and above The ability to motivate others The ability to remain calm in challenging situations The ability to support colleagues Welsh Speaker Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Other Industries Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
