Occupational Therapist Band 6 - St Martins Join to apply for the Occupational Therapist Band 6 - St Martins role at HCRG Care Group Package Description As a Band 6 Reablement Occupational Therapist, you’ll be part of our valued team at St Martin's Hospital, Bath. Job Introduction We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team based in Bath. This is a very rewarding role within the Reablement Service, a short‑term service which supports people in their own homes or in residential or nursing homes, aiming to maximise and maintain independence through rehabilitation and support. You will join a supportive and multidisciplinary team consisting of Reablement Therapy Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Care Coordinators and Administrative support. The team also works closely with local GPs and other community services such as district nurses and social workers. This role involves travel around Bath and North East Somerset, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. The position is full‑time based at St Martin’s Hospital, Bath. Service hours are 8:00‑22:00, with core hours for therapists typically 8:00‑16:00, 9:00‑18:00 or 8:00‑14:00 once a week. The service runs seven days a week, and all staff are expected to work weekends and bank holidays within a team rota. Enhancements for unsocial hours are paid in line with Agenda for Change rates. Provide an evidence‑based occupational therapy service of a high standard, undertaking comprehensive assessments, reassessments, care planning, rehabilitation and therapeutic care and support. Hold responsibility for own caseload, working with rehabilitation therapy workers to deliver therapeutic programmes. Provide effective supervision to junior occupational therapists, therapy assistant practitioners and reablement therapy workers. Ideal Candidate Hold a degree in occupational therapy. Register as an occupational therapist with HCPC. Hold a full UK driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle.
