Job Purpose: An opportunity as a holiday and sickness cover personal assistant has become available, to support a lady living in Dereham with day-to-day tasks. Location: Dereham, lives close to the town centre, so bus links are accessible going to and from her home. Details: When required, support with getting up and dressed on days where she feels that she cannot do this herself. Light housework – Hoovering and general upkeep of her home. Medication support – Prompting to take the required medication at the right times during the day. Being there for any support that is needed. Person specification: Must be comfortable around dogs. No previous care or cleaning experience/qualifications required. Kind. Friendly. Loyal. Flexible due to this position being holiday and sickness cover. Summary terms and conditions: The rate of pay for this position is £15.14 per hour for employed, and £18.28 per hour self-employed. Hours and times of work: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm 20hrs a week. Holiday and sickness cover only. Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. Access to free training for employed workers. If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required to undertake annual training. The post is subject to the following: A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
