At Stagenhoe, we provide the care people need to optimise their health and wellbeing, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs.Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support and help improve the lives of people with a neurological condition or brain injury.MAIN PURPOSE:To provide robust and effective leadership to a specialised therapy team and recreational therapy team. The post will support the Senior Management Team in the delivery of services, quality improvement and clinical governance.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for overseeing service delivery from referral to discharge to ensure treatment programmes are planned and delivered effectively .To maintain an awareness of the caseloads of the team to ensure the most effective and efficient service is providedTo be responsible for leading clinical governance activity within the team with regard to clinical risk management and for implementing clinical governance policies, standards and guidelines.Responsible for ensuring a high standard of service, delivered within local and national guidelines and within the resources available. To ensure documentation produced by other members of the team is in line with professional and Brainkind standardsResponsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of staff within the service and provide support to staff as required .To provide on-site deputy leadership for the team and take an active role in service developments through the use of service user participation strategies, peer review, audit, and evaluation of outcome measuresTo be responsible to chair interdisciplinary team meetings and review meetings as appropriateTo work with other professionals in managing operational issues of services which cross organisational boundariesTo assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy intervention to meet the assessed needs of service usersTo hold responsibility for managing own caseload within an agreed defined clinical areaTo monitor attendance of mandatory and other required training for members of teamTo improve own and others research and development skills through participation in audit projectsFacilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasksABOUT YOU:BSc (Hons) PhysiotherapyRegistered with Health and Care Professionals CouncilCurrent registration with Professional Body /CSP) if appropriateRelevant post-registration training and experience and relevant leadership experience and training in a health/social care settingMember of an appropriate Professional Specialist Interest Group is desirable (ACPIN / ACPIVR)Evidence of Continued Professional DevelopmentProven experience of working in an appropriate service across healthcare settingsExperience of working with clients with moderate to advanced neurological disease and disabilityDemonstrable experience of evidence-based practice, research, audit and outcome measuresHighly specialist knowledge and application of neurological therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoningEvidence of managing a team of staff including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment and disciplinary issuesREWARDS:You can look forward to excellent benefits, including handy discounts on many brands and services.A competitive Salary of £31,746 - £ 33,388 per annum38 Days ALAccess to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)Excellent training and supportCompany PensionLong service and staff awardsFree parkingWe also put a big focus on employee wellbeing and support.
