Hours: (42 hours per week) Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, including 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm on a rota

Salary: £47,600 OTE (including £39,000 to £41,000 basic plus bonus)

Lookers Kia Newcastle are recruiting for a Kia Accredited Master Technician to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside a team of experienced technicians, you will play a vital role supporting all technicians and apprentices, as well as carrying out brand specific mechanical and electrical diagnosis to manufacturing guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting and providing guidance for all Technicians and Apprentices within the workshop
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using brand specific diagnostic machines to manufacturers' guidelines
  • Assisting the Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical diagnosis, using computer-based technology
  • Liaising with the manufacturers' technical team when guidance is required
  • Advising the customer/manufacturer of any further work required
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure all work has been completed to the Lookers standard
Qualifications/Experience

The ideal candidate will need to be a Kia Accredited Master Technician with NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have motor industry brand experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence. You'll be self-motivated, able to support your team, ambitious, and diligent in your approach, and able to work to and maintain the highest standards for all vehicles that come through our doors.
