An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prep Technician to join Lloyd BMW & MINI based in Newcastle.

As part of a new scheme, we are offering an introductory bonus of up to £2000 for joining the company. (Terms & Conditions apply)

Hours of Work: 8:00-4.30pm Mon - Fri 40 hours per week

Salary: Basic Salary per annum with OTE £32,370.00

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Complete work orders including details of repairs completed, parts required and labour to be charged.
  2. Test vehicles using measuring devices to provide accurate diagnostic reports to the Workshop Controller.
  3. Interpret and use technical data and instruction provided by the manufacturer.
  4. Conduct routine service work on vehicles brought into the workshop.
  5. Remove and install vehicle components in accordance with the manufacturer's methodology.
  6. Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern.
  7. Carry out preparations for new and Approved Used vehicles.
  8. Perform technical repair work in accordance with established and documented procedures.
  9. Ensure any faults have been reported and noted on job cards and inform the Service Manager/ Workshop Controller of any additional faults not covered in the scope of the repair and delay to completion.
  10. Record details of work including all hours worked and material usage.
  11. Ensure vehicle safety standards have been complied with when returned to customers.
  12. Ensure vehicles are protected and kept clean during service and repair.
  13. Ensure the workshop is clean and tidy at the end of the shift, ready for the day shift.
