As a Porter/Delivery Driver at King\'s School, Rochester, one of England’s oldest schools, you’ll deliver food provisions to various sites around the school campus and support with kitchen porter duties when required. You'll also ensure school orders are delivered, product quantities accounted for, and documentation completed to meet customer requests.What You’ll Do:Ensure customers’ orders are delivered, product quantities accounted for and documentation completedCarry out daily vehicle checks and report any defectsAdhere to daily delivery schedule and meet customers time slotsDrive a company vehicle and comply with Sodexo’s driving policy and regulationsDeliver food supplies to various locations across the school campusPromote a friendly working relationship with colleagues and client staffPromote a good company image to customers and guests by using positive customer service practicesLiaise with Contract Manager, Senior Chefs and SupervisorsAccept deliveries of stock ensuring they are correct and any damage or discrepancies are recordedEnsure that any orders are suitably packaged ready for deliveryKeep accurate records of where stock is allocated around siteEnsure the safety and security of the stockComplete frequent and accurate stock takesReport any complaints and act where possibleUndertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the department's activitiesComply with all company health and safety and food safety compliance rules and to report any issuesMaintain HACCP records in the stores area and transportationIRREGULAR DUTIESAssist as required with driving that may occur outside of regular hoursDeliver and collect light equipment to various locations across the school campusReport any incident of accident, fire, theft, loss damage and take action as may be appropriate or possibleAttend meetings and courses as required, and to complete any online training that is required for the roleComplete stock orders with suppliersWhat You BringMust hold full UK current driving license for three years and be over 25 (legal requirement)Good time management and organisational skillsSelf-motivated and pro-activeAbility to work in a role that requires physical effort and perform manual handling tasksAbility to work as part of a team or individually as neededAbility to work well under pressurePositive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriateNumerate and LiterateDesirableExperience in similar role either in a stores/ warehouse capacity or kitchen/catering environment.What We OfferBeing part of Sodexo isn’t just about having a job—it’s about building a career and making a real impact.
