Working Pattern: 12-month fixed term contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available - hybrid, 50% office based We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of large electricity connections projects and a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will be responsible for the successful project delivery of a range of connections. Projects will include small domestic connections through to large commercial connections, and diversions up to 33kv. You will Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of large connections projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard of customer satisfaction. Issue contract packages with our Framework Partners, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned to efficiently deliver connections projects. Drive performance and profitability by identifying opportunities for improvement, enhancing customer experience, and fostering collaborative relationships with delivery partners and internal stakeholders. Ensure quality and compliance by overseeing inspections, managing contract documentation, and maintaining records in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Support stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a key point of contact for customers and delivery partners to ensure smooth and efficient project progression. You have Awareness and understanding of SSE connections methodology and licensing conditions that relate to connections activities and our regulatory framework including knowledge of Statutory, Regulatory and License requirements. Experience managing NEC3 contracts, with the ability to navigate commercial and operational interactions with delivery partners. Strong project management skills, including workload prioritisation, financial oversight, and planning. Prince2 Practitioner certification (or working towards) is desirable. Technical and commercial knowledge of the electricity distribution sector or a similar infrastructure environment. Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and delivering results. A full UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel to sites and partner locations will be required. About SSE SSE has a bold ambition - to be a leading energy company in a net zero world.
