This is a temporary, full-time role, perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing educational environment. As part of the school’s SEND provision, you will work closely with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual SEMH needs. You’ll collaborate with the SENCo, class teachers, and external agencies to: Deliver targeted emotional and behavioural support. Help children regulate emotions and engage positively with learning. Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet evolving needs. Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour management. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt support strategies to individual needs. Background in education, youth work, or psychology (desirable but not essential). Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
