Location & Compensation Location: Newcastle Pay: £90 - £120 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, until July 2025 Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join one of our inspirational partner primary schools in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils across all key stages while contributing to a nurturing, inclusive, and high‑achieving learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD. Work 1:1 and in small groups to deliver engaging interventions that promote confidence, understanding, and academic progress. Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to adapt learning to meet individual needs and celebrate every achievement. Assist across the school community during break and lunchtime duties, fostering positive relationships and teamwork. Required Qualifications & Experience Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent childcare-based qualification (essential). Previous experience working with children in a UK school setting. A warm, resilient, and positive approach with strong communication skills. Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply). Two professional, child-related references covering the last two years.
