Job Description Specialist Occupational Therapist – NHS Scotland. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. Within South Sector, AHPs work together supporting each other to ensure we produce high quality care for our patients. Responsibilities An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Older Peoples Services Team and further develop your clinical skills with complex patients, experience of close MDT working and discharge planning, and involvement in service improvement. The post holder will provide expert direct clinical care, which encompasses Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and management of patients as part of the in‑patient service. You will clinically be responsible for rotational Occupational Therapists, support workers and students on clinical placement. You will be actively encouraged to develop through your 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit and research. Qualifications It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in occupational therapy while being registered with HCPC. You should have significant post graduate experience with previous clinical experience in Older Peoples Services, or relevant specialty. Employment details This is a full‑time, permanent post and may require the post holder to participate in seven‑day working / extended hours working.
