Lead with Purpose.Academy 360, part of Laidlaw Schools Trust, is seeking an ambitious and passionate Subject Leader for Physical Education to lead the strategic development of PE across the academy. This is an exciting opportunity to drive student achievement, shape an inclusive and engaging curriculum, and work within a values‑led Trust that places students at the heart of all we do.You will play a key role in leading high standards across the PE department, developing curriculum plans, monitoring student outcomes, and supporting a team of dedicated practitioners. You will lead the department with wider responsibility linked to the skills of the successful candidate and reflective of the academy’s priorities. You’ll also contribute to the wider life of the academy, supporting student wellbeing, development and enrichment through sport and physical activity. This will include oversight of our Duke of Edinburgh programme.ResponsibilitiesLead the PE department and set high standards of teaching and learning.Develop and implement a curriculum plan that promotes inclusive practice.Monitor student outcomes and provide evidence‑based improvement.Support and develop a team of PE practitioners.Contribute to the broader school community, including wellbeing and enrichment activities.Oversee the Duke of Edinburgh programme.Qualifications & RequirementsHolds Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.Has a proven record of high‑quality teaching and student progress.Is committed to continuous improvement and inclusive practice.Possesses excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.Demonstrates ambition, resilience, and good leadership.BenefitsBenefits are mentally, physically and financially rewarding.
