This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Oncology Melanoma team as a B4 Support worker. This is a 3.5 days a week fixed term for a year role, to work with the Clinical Nurse Specialists and wider oncology team to help support patients and their families through their cancer treatment, at diagnosis, during treatment and after.Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.Main duties of the jobTo signpost patients to appropriate support and assist with Holistic Needs Assessment, Health and Wellbeing Clinics, co-ordinate appropriate investigations required and Making Every Contact Count, ensuring the delivery of patient care is of the highest standard and those patients and their families are treated with dignity and respect.To utilise Patent Management System/iSOFT/SCR and other systems/databases to track patient and upload relevant cancer data.To set up and maintain new databases of patients coming through the new pathway.
