Health and Wellbeing Coach - Derby and Derbyshire Vita Health Group is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Coach to deliver health and lifestyle coaching and care coordination in Derby and Derbyshire. Key responsibilities Independently run health & wellbeing workshops/exercise classes in groups, virtually or face‑to‑face for NHS service users with mental wellbeing difficulties and long‑term health conditions. Conduct initial appointments and 1‑1 coaching sessions by phone or video, supporting the Healthy Living Healthy Minds programme. Develop programme resources and assist in programme development. Obtain Level 3 GP Referral training (if not already held) within first 6 months. Working hours & location Full‑time, permanent contract with one evening shift per week (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday 12:00–8:00 pm). Hybrid role requiring travel across Derby & Derbyshire. Required skills and experience Minimum level 3 accredited qualification in personal training or exercise instruction (e.g. REPs, CIMSPA). Experience delivering face‑to‑face or virtual exercise classes. Experience working individually and within a team. Ability to encourage behavioural change and design individualised health & wellbeing plans. Sound knowledge of exercise, nutrition and wellbeing. Experience working with people experiencing mental wellbeing difficulties. Willingness to work a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Basic knowledge of Talking Therapies mental health service. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Adept at time management and prioritisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Willingness to travel, including overnight stays when required. Desirable qualifications Level 3 GP Referral (also known as Level 3 Exercise Referral). Certificate/diploma in behavioural change, personal coaching or motivational interviewing. Recognised qualifications in exercise class instruction. Benefits Competitive salary.
