Senior Clinical Research Nurse – The Christie NHS Foundation Trust An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Research and Innovation Division at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust for a Senior Clinical Research Nurse to join our Rare Tumours research delivery team. This is your chance to become part of a highly skilled and supportive team delivering a diverse portfolio of academic and commercial clinical trials for patients with neurological cancers, sarcoma and trials involving teenagers and young adults. Key Responsibilities Coordinate patient pathways across complex trials, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance. Lead and manage a group of research nurses with support from the Clinical Research Matron, ensuring research is conducted within regulatory requirements and safeguarding patient well‑being. Act as the key point of contact for patients considered for clinical trials and for the wider multidisciplinary teams. Engage with a variety of research professionals across The Christie and wider networks, contributing to self‑development and team training programmes. Raise the profile of clinical research within the trust by attending promotional events and contributing to local, national, and international meetings. Utilise national frameworks for auditing patient experiences to ensure patients in the Rare Tumours portfolio have the best possible experience. Support the Clinical Research Matron and other senior staff in compliance and quality assurance activities. Required Qualifications and Experience Experienced oncology professional with a proven background in clinical research nursing and managing trials involving anticancer investigational medicinal products. Exceptional organisational, leadership, and time‑management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, aligned with The Christie values. Strong motivation and the ability to work independently. Experience in a multi‑regulated clinical research environment, safeguarding patient well‑being.
