Location: Leatherhead, England, United Kingdom Apply for the Trainee Account Handler role at Jensten Due to continued growth, Basil Fry (part of the Jensten Group) is seeking a Trainee Account Handler for its friendly, client‑focused Commercial team. Founded in 1970, Basil Fry has extensive expertise in removals, storage, and self‑storage industries, delivering a broad range of specialist insurance solutions, in‑house claims services, and market‑leading risk management support. You’ll work within a team of approximately 20, and a wider office of 45, based at our modern Leatherhead site—just a short walk from the station and bus routes. This is a full‑time, office‑based role, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:15 pm. Key objectives & responsibilities Work closely with your Account Executive to deliver tailored insurance solutions and risk management advice. Support the handling of renewals, mid‑term adjustments, and new business by learning to assess risk, gather client details, and liaise with insurers. Prepare renewal quotations and follow up with customers to help achieve retention and growth targets. Build strong relationships with clients and learn how to provide solutions via phone and email. Respond promptly to client queries under supervision, keeping accurate records of all communications. Manage a variety of administrative tasks, including processing documentation, updating systems, and maintaining accurate records. Answer incoming calls and direct queries to the right team members, ensuring every client receives excellent service. Support credit control activities by monitoring outstanding payments and assisting with follow‑up communications. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations (e.g., FCA). About you Excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. Experience in a professional office environment (desirable). Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. A sincere interest in developing a career within the insurance/broking sector. Desire to work toward CII qualifications (fully supported).
