What is the role?\The Recovery Coordinator is part of the Integrated Recovery Service Team. Working with clients, they initiate recovery, utilising clients’ individual recovery capital, and support reintegration and sustained long term recovery from substance and alcohol misuse. As the Recovery Coordinator you will be responsible for care co‑ordination of all clients entering the service and engaging in treatment. You will also be responsible for the development of recovery plans for individual clients, and for liaising with other service providers relevant to the individual’s needs. A day in the life Recovery Coordinators can have a reasonable caseload, which will allow you to have the opportunity to form a positive relationship with the clients offering them support through the delivery of psychosocial interventions and group work. Recovery Workers will collaborate with partner agencies to further support in areas such as housing, benefits and employment. The Recovery Worker will also explore possible pathways into detox, community or residential rehab. Following the successful completion of structured interventions, the Recovery Worker will provide recovery support and the transition into aftercare services. What you need Excellent communication, time management and administrative skills. A willingness to learn and work with a variety of people. Have a clear understanding of, and a commitment to safeguarding best practice. A commitment to multi‑agency working, and be able to work in partnership with other agencies within the treatment system to achieve good outcomes for clients.
