Autism Assessor - Temporary London Join Oxford Outcomes to make an immediate impact in a rewarding environment. We are seeking clinicians to join our friendly multidisciplinary team and conduct vital Autism Assessments on a contract basis. Job Details Location: Hybrid remote and London based Day rate: £450-£550 per day (8 hours), DOE Hours: To be agreed – variable hours and flexible working available Contract: Temporary – variable temporary contracts available About the Role As an Autism Assessor, you will conduct thorough diagnostic assessments for children and young people aged 0–18 years. Work includes “right to choose” referrals via GPs, contracted work on behalf of national health services, and private clients. You will administer evidence-based assessment tools such as the ADOS‑2, ADI‑R, and other informed tools to make clinical diagnostic decisions based on DSM‑5 and ICD‑11 criteria, while considering varied presentations including gender differences. Your key responsibilities include: Deliver comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments focusing on autism and/or ADHD. Prepare high‑quality formal clinical reports outlining neurodevelopmental strengths and needs, with clear, neuro‑affirming language. Collaborate closely with children, families, and clinical colleagues to ensure multidisciplinary agreement on diagnostic outcomes. Support triage of new referrals and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records. Attend relevant meetings to uphold clinical practice guidelines. Essential Criteria Active HCPC, NMC, or GMC (or relevant professional body) registration. Certification in ADOS‑2 and/or ADI‑R or similar. Proficiency in using DSM‑5 and other diagnostic tools relevant to autism/ADHD. Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments with a focus on autism/ADHD. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare comprehensive reports with neuro‑affirming language. Experience reviewing and triaging clinical information for assessment allocation. Familiarity with online assessment and face‑to‑face assessment is an advantage. Experience in delivering Young DIVA assessments and ADHD developmental history interviews is desirable.
