The role of the Band 6 Cancer Specialist Physiotherapist will be to: Undertake diagnosis, assessment and treatment of people living with or beyond cancer, to assist people adapt and cope with living with the long-term physical consequences of cancer treatment. Oversee the physiotherapy caseload and the Active Everyday' programme. Utilise your clinical expertise and teaching skills to support and educate health care professionals outside of the team in the wider system, across the acute, community and volunteer sector You will also be involved in the wider activity programme for cancer across Gloucestershire liaising and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the sustainability and maintaining key relationships. The post holder has no budgetary responsibility. Clinical work is largely focused on the management of the side effects of various cancer interventions. This role is ideally suited to those with a strong background in rehabilitation, musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. You do not need to have worked specifically within oncology, but experience is desirable. Full clinical training can be provided, along with further CPD opportunities run through Macmillan.
