With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent.We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities:You will be working on a diverse range of projects including large scale energy and infrastructure, rail, highways, water and mixed-use development schemes for both private and public clients, public realm and masterplanning projects as well as more small scale projects that require a nimble and agile approach. We drive technical excellence in everything we do and promote a flexible and collaborative environment supported by digital innovation. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects across the UK / worldwide.You will also be responsible for the following:Leading on the coordination and delivery of planning / environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental and planning outcomes – with a strong understanding of the D&B process.Strong business development, create project opportunities and lead delivery of projects to build our portfolio in the D&B Sector – but also working closely with the upstream Environmental and Planning upstream work.Raise awareness of our services, winning new opportunities and building new contacts. Actively engage in key client relationships, lead by example creating cross selling opportunities for the wider business.Engaging with consultees and stakeholdersManaging projects, overseeing our performance on technical, quality, commercial, and health and safetyWork closely with existing and established Arcadis colleagues across our Global Business ArcadisQualifications & Experience:Excellent working knowledge of the environmental and consenting process, from EIA practices and procedures, including case law, and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principles and environmental technical specialismsStrong experience of working with Contractors and influencing sustainability through designExperience across a range of project typesStrong report writing, verbal and presentation skills with experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure qualityExperience in multi-disciplinary co-ordination and leadership of projects, with good project management and technical skillsExperience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators and stakeholdersCommercial expertise, including forecasting, project management and quality assuranceRelevant degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with chartered status or working towardsA flexible, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to workWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
