Marketing & Business Development Manager (9-Month FTC)Location: LondonContract: Fixed-TermA leading European intellectual property firm is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to cover shared parental leave for 9 months (with potential extension). Starting ideally in November or December 2025, this is a high-impact role shaping the firm's ambitious growth strategy.The successful candidate will work across practice groups-Tech, Engineering, Life Sciences & Chemistry, and Trade Marks-developing and implementing business development plans that drive client engagement and market positioning. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Business Development, this role manages a talented team and collaborates with colleagues in London, San Francisco, and The Netherlands.Key Responsibilities:Drive global BD strategy and provide expert guidance to fee earners.Lead initiatives to strengthen client relationships and win new business.Oversee marketing campaigns, content strategy, events, and profile-raising activities.Manage pitch processes and ensure robust pipeline management.Inspire and lead a team of executives, ensuring best-in-class delivery.Ideal Candidate:Proven BD and marketing experience in legal, IP, or professional services.Strong track record in strategy execution and client development.Skilled in the full marketing mix, analytics, and pipeline management.Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; previous team management preferred.Creative, commercially savvy, and a confident communicator.This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values diversity and inclusion.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
