We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic Endoscopy team at Hammersmith Hospital. You will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, and person‑centred care to patients undergoing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills in areas such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, and bronchoscopy, supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team. You will receive full training and mentorship to enhance your confidence and competence within our JAG‑accredited Endoscopy Unit. Responsibilities Provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures as part of a multidisciplinary team. Prepare procedure rooms and equipment, assist during procedures, monitor patients pre‑and post‑procedure, and ensure safe and effective recovery and discharge. Ensure accurate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, complying with infection prevention, safety, and clinical governance standards. Contribute to service improvement and uphold the Trust’s values by promoting dignity, respect, and patient‑centred care at all times. Support health care assistant staff, participate in audit and training, and maintain continuous professional development to enhance endoscopy knowledge and clinical skills.
