Are you an experienced Communications Manager who is looking for a new role within a market‑leading, award‑winning law firm? We would love to hear from you if so This is a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover position with responsibility for creating and driving firm‑wide, sector and service line communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award‑winning team where you’ll have the autonomy to plan, produce and deliver engaging, results‑driven content and campaigns. Responsibilities Lead and execute high‑impact content marketing campaigns Liaise with relevant partners, lawyers, business development and knowledge‑learning and development teams to create a broad range of content and campaigns, including reports, videos, legal briefings, blogs, vlogs, podcasts and email updates Write copy for a range of marketing materials, including hard copy publications, email newsletters, brochures and reports Work closely with the head of digital marketing and the websites manager to continuously improve our digital communications offering to the firm Support search engine optimisation activities through online PR and monitoring materials for appropriate inclusion of target keywords Manage regular updating of the content on the firm’s website and other digital channels Manage the relationship with our external PR agency Liaise with relevant lawyers to agree talking points, write comment pieces, press releases and other editorial content such as feature articles Help external PR agencies and journalists access legal spokespeople in a timely manner Monitor materials for adherence to the firm’s brand guidelines and house style Ensure the firm’s brand is communicated effectively and consistently Manage the development of internal templates in line with brand guidelines Deliver engaging content demonstrated by a regular flow of a wide range of high‑quality content, accurate, error‑free content that is well‑read and reflects well on the firm, adherence to house style and writing guidelines, meeting deadlines, innovative use of all media, understanding of best practice/best‑in‑class content, and positive feedback Effective and consistent communication of the firm’s brand Strong support to the BD and wider marketing team Qualifications Experience in a similar managerial role within a law firm or professional services sector Previous working knowledge of a website content management system Previous working knowledge of an email marketing system Previous working knowledge of using social media in a corporate environment Previous experience of producing podcasts and video content Experience managing external PR and design agencies Experience controlling brand guidelines across a business Working Arrangements Mills & Reeve operates a hybrid model of working so while there can be an element of working from home you’ll also be required to be based in one of our offices for at least half of your working week.
