Commercial Dispute Resolution SolicitorDepartment: Commercial Dispute ResolutionEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: Derby, UKDescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Commercial Dispute Resolution team as a Solicitor.We are accepting applications from Solicitors, Associates or Senior Associates.Our tier 1 team is one of the largest and most experienced in the Midlands, handling complex and high value disputes for a variety of local and national clients.This role is responsible for managing a personal caseload of commercial litigation matters whilst also supporting on more complex matters with senior members of the team.Responsible for liaising directly with clients and ensuring a high level of client care is provided at all times.This role reports directly to the Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters that can include:Contractual disputesCommercial property disputesLandlord & Tenant disputesProfessional negligence disputesDebt Recovery disputesAs well as managing a personal caseload of litigated matters, this role is responsible for supporting on more complex matters alongside senior members of the team;Ensure matters are kept up to date in systems and new advancements are communicated to clients and the relevant team members;Record all time in the Tikit system, including non-billable activities;Take responsibility for managing the client experience. Attend client meetings where necessary;Take a keen interest in business development for the department and contribute where required;Support departmental audits as and when required;Take on additional tasks as reasonably required by the Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution;Conduct legal research where required; andDemonstrate a meticulous approach with great attention to detail.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHave a minimum of a 2:1 legal degree;Have experience in Commercial Litigation;Be able to manage your own caseload of complex client matters;Demonstrate excellent commitment to client care and good technical ability;Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines with your caseload;Possess excellent communication skills; andHave a sound knowledge of IT systems and processes, such as the Microsoft suite.Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered.The successful candidate will be required to attend an induction and a period of training at the firm’s Derby office.BenefitsCompetitive salaryBonus potentialGreat working environment at our Derby Head officesCareer Development opportunities25 days holiday plus bank holidaysOptions to buy & sell 1 week’s holiday1 week’s holiday carry overExtra day off for your birthdayStaff card discount scheme for local shopsSocial days and evenings on the firmMonthly food on the firm for all staffStaff discounts on legal services #J-18808-Ljbffr
