Salary: £45,750–£52,194 per annum

The Role
The Assessments Team is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to undertake high-quality Child and Family Assessments under Section 17 and Section 47. You will:

Hold a manageable caseload of approximately 11–15 children
Manage new referrals and complete timely risk assessments
Work directly with children and families to identify needs and agree effective support plans
Engage with partner agencies to ensure coordinated multi-agency involvement
Contribute to child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and legal planning processesWhat We’re Looking For
Applicants should have:

Registration with Social Work England
A minimum of four years’ post-qualifying experience
Strong, consistent practice in child protection and assessment
Experience across referral and assessment pathways, ideally within a locality-based model
A thorough understanding of statutory frameworks and safeguarding responsibilitiesWhat the Council Offers
