You will be joining a Team of three Consultant Neurologists, two Parkinson's disease Nurse Specialists and one Multiple Sclerosis Nurse Specialist delivering both inpatient (ward referrals) and outpatient service, including Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy specialist clinics.Our values are Bold, Every Person Counts, Sharing and Open and Together. Whilst there are not currently any inpatient beds, the successful applicant will work closely with medical colleagues to provide inpatient support and outpatient services.Develop their own area of specialist interest and provide sub-specialty expertise.Develop and expand the current Neurology service locally and regionally.To collaborate closely with the Tertiary service at Kings College Hospital.Work with the Clinical Director and General Manager to review current working practices and drive forward innovative changes to develop new models of care.Get involved in clinical research, teaching and development.Provide expert advice and support regarding complex cases to clinical colleagues in primary and secondary care.To adhere and contribute to The Trusts vision and values.Person SpecificationQualificationsFull GMC RegistrationBasic Medical DegreeMRCP (UK) or equivalentKnowledgeClinical Governance principles.Knowledge of health service management desirable.ExperienceAt least 7 years post registration essential.Clinical and/or laboratory based research experience desirable.Value Based QuestionGive an example of a time when you have gone the extra mile to help someoneDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.£109,725 to £145,478 a yearPer annum/Pro Rata #J-18808-Ljbffr
