You will be responsible for creating programs for CNC machines using 3D CAD models and technical drawings, setting up and operating CNC equipment, and ensuring quality components are produced on time. Key Responsibilities Plan the most efficient machining operations for each job. Create, set up, and run CNC machine programs based on 2D drawings and 3D CAD data. Ensure work consistently meets high-quality and technical standards. Complete preventative maintenance and maintain equipment. Fully back up all CNC programs for repeat orders. Communicate effectively with the Engineering team to capture any design changes during manufacture. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations at all times. Maintain accurate work documentation in line with BS EN 9001. Assist in keeping the office and workshop organised and tidy. Respond to phone and email queries courteously as needed. Skills & Experience - Essential Recognised engineering qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on CNC milling experience. Ability to work to high tolerances in a fast‑paced environment. Competent with 2D CAD drawings (3D CAD/CAM experience desirable—training can be provided). Confident in self‑inspection and quality assessment. Flexible, conscientious, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Experience with manual lathes and mills. Understanding of CAD/CAM programming.
