Job Description Field Service Engineer This is a great opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist rail engineering company providing depot maintenance services across the UK rail network. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their nationwide team, working primarily across the Midlands and South of England. This is a long-term, stable position with regular overtime, excellent benefits, and genuine opportunities for career progression. Package offered for this Field Service Engineer role : Salary : £39,720 per annum Location : Nationwide Benefits : Company van and fuel card, overtime available most weeks, on-call rota 1 in 14, with on-call payment, travel and accommodation covered when required, 22 days holiday + bank holidays, ongoing training and professional development Key responsibilities for this Field Service Engineer role : Perform depot maintenance, servicing, and repairs on electrical and mechanical rail equipment Work independently on-site to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults efficiently Complete all job documentation using a mobile phone or tablet Maintain excellent communication with clients and the service office Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to rail industry standards Travel to multiple depot locations across the Midlands and South, including working away from home with overnight stays when required Experience required for this Field Service Engineer role : NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (mechanical knowledge also desirable) Previous experience in field-based service or depot maintenance, ideally in the rail sector Ability to work independently and manage workload efficientlyConfident using mobile technology for reporting and job management Full UK driving licence Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
