OverviewAn outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager: CAMHS in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, offering clinical excellence across 11 wards, including a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services.To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD Nurse) with a current active NMC Pin.Key ResponsibilitiesWork as Senior Nurse in a Ward ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families and visitors.Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework, communicating requirements to the wider team.Ensure risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.Respect and apply the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and role‑modeling these across the team.Identify deficits in skill mix and safe staffing levels and act to address these.Supervise a defined group of team members and contribute to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process, recognising the skills required across the team and addressing any performance issues below the expected standard.Act as a role model to promote a culture of learning, development, inquiry and a team vision.Actively support Junior Staff and student nurses on placement on the ward.Preferred Experience and SkillsActive Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of revalidation.Trained Assessor/Supervisor.Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable.Evidence of continued professional development and intent to maintain and develop leadership.Good computer skills.BenefitsThe successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £41,663 per annum and a permanent full‑time role working 37.5 hours a week.
