An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager : CAMHS to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers. The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, offering clinical excellence across 11 wards which include a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD) with current active NMC Pin Key Responsibilities Work as Senior Nurse in a Ward ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families and visitors. Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicate requirements to the wider team. Ensure that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment, meeting statutory requirements. Respect and apply the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and model these across the team. Identify deficits in skill mix and safe staffing levels and act to address these. Supervise a defined group of team members and contribute to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process, recognising the skills required across the team; address any performance issues below standard. Act as a role model to promote a culture of learning, development, inquiry and a team vision. Actively support Junior Staff and student nurses on placement on the ward. Preferred Skills & Experience Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, meeting revalidation requirements. Training as an assessor/supervisor. Clinical supervision experience; training desirable. Evidence of continued professional development and intent to maintain and develop leadership. Good computer skills.
