Job summaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Huntercombe, a category C prison located in Oxfordshire. HMP Huntercombe is a male prison housing 520 inmates. We are recruiting for a Bank Pharmacy Assistant to support the wide Pharmacy team consisting of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.HoursShift patterns are - Monday to Friday 07:45–17:30 / Weekends 08:30–16:30SalaryThe hourly rate is £21.76 per hour.How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkRegional and national career development opportunitiesOur bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needsSupport from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksMain duties of the jobComplete general dispensary duties and stock managementBe an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical serviceProvide a timely and efficient service to the prison wingsReceive prescriptions and stick returns from wing-based clinical areasCollect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of returnParticipate in dispensing of prescriptionsIf you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
