Finance Manager – STS Engine Services (formerly GT Engine Services), part of STS Aviation Group Location: London Stansted Airport, Essex, England About the Role This full‑time, onsite Finance Manager will oversee full‑cycle financial operations, support leadership with accurate reporting, and drive commercial insight to support a growing aviation business. The role involves managing core accounting activities, leading monthly management reporting, owning audit and statutory requirements, and serving as a trusted financial partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities Balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations and accruals Posting journals related to reconciliations Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack Presentation of management accounts to the Senior Leadership Team Oversight of aged debt and debtor cashflow AP invoice approvals VAT returns Full ownership of audit requests and statutory accounts requests Assistance with P11D processing Payroll posting Review of budgets to actuals Accounts reviews and GL posting analysis including identification of mis postings Ownership of budgeting and forecasting Ownership of day to day onsite finance requests from the Managing Director and leadership team Project, customer, and sales stream profitability reviewing and reporting Ability to work independently and provide commercial recommendations to the leadership team Line management of onsite finance support staff Skills and Experience Previous experience in a similar all‑round Finance role is essential Aviation experience preferable but not required Qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA Strong technical accounting knowledge Practice experience preferable Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage own workload Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills Experience with financial management software, ideally Sage Line 50 Highly numerate with strong analytical abilities Experience working with multiple currencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work confidentially and with integrity Flexible and willing to assist wherever required Professional presentation and conduct consistent with company standards Benefits and Compensation Support offered for final accounting qualification exams if required PMI included at GT Pension at 5 percent Onsite required five days per week while allowing flexibility to four when needed About STS Engine Services STS Engine Services, formerly GT Engine Services, is a leading provider of aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and storage solutions.
