Facilities & Maintenance Assistant (Fixed‑Term) – Evermore Care Homes Join to apply for the Facilities & Maintenance Assistant (Fixed‑Term) role at Evermore Care Homes. Base Pay Assistant Facilities and Maintenance Operative Location: Across Lancashire – covering all six Active Pathways services and Evermore Care Homes sites in Chorley, Bamber Bridge, Fulwood, and Lancaster Contract Type: Full‑Time and Part‑Time considered – Fixed‑Term Contract (6 months) Salary: £26,000‑£28,000 per annum, depending on experience Overtime: Enhanced to £15.86 per hour once full‑time hours (37.5) have been met Key Benefits 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, equating to 33 days per year. Additional annual leave awarded at 2 and 5 years’ service. Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £500 per referral. Company Sick Pay – 5 days per year after 2 years’ service. Health Cash Plan covering dental, optical, virtual GP, counselling, and a discounted gym membership. About the Role As the Assistant Facilities and Maintenance Operative, you will work across our four mental health services and two care homes, ensuring all buildings and grounds are safe, well‑maintained, and compliant with regulations. Responsibilities Carrying out day‑to‑day maintenance of communal areas, residential rooms, and grounds. Conducting operational Health & Safety and Fire Regulation checks. Managing external contractors when needed. Maintaining equipment such as heating, plumbing, security systems, laundry machines, and water systems. Key Requirements Multi‑skilled maintenance and facilities management experience, specifically plumbing or electrics. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for work purposes. Flexible, can‑do attitude with excellent customer service skills. Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively. Why Join Active Pathways? South Grove House (Fulwood) – Specialist residential care for men with Autism and co‑existing mental health or substance misuse needs. Ashton Manor (Lancaster) – Residential, dementia, and respite care for older adults. Astley View (Chorley) – Residential, dementia, and respite care for older adults.
